Schmuck of the Year Award* (2013)

It wasn’t until I woke up on this New Years Eve morning (hoping to get an extra hour of sleep but making the HUGE mistake of looking at my Twitter Feed first) that I decided ANY person who could get me out of bed and EXTREMELY pissed-off as well (see, I’m a morning person) deserves this award. It’s an award I JUST made up right now since I’ve taken to calling particular people this particular word a lot lately. And being a Common Sense Conservative I can’t just call people something without feeling it’s warranted and especially without truly understanding the meaning of the word. Allow me to define it for you by going to the dictionary I’ve always trusted and use regularly (Merriam-Webster):

jerk 4b
4b :  an unlikable person; especially :  one who is cruel, rude, or small-minded
It’s not everyday I hit the nail on the head with one thing but I think it’s safe to say I got the right word for the Liberal/Democratic party as a whole! They are all schmucks in my book but I feel it safe to say that one (this year) has outshone all the rest of them. Yes, in 2013 this woman has shown the true meaning of “schmuck-ness” in every sense of the word. Here are my 3 main arguments. And while there are MANY more I feel 3 are ALL I need to make my case.

She has been cruel:

She has been rude:

She has been small-minded:

This woman I have NO respect for because she has done nothing and said nothing that is worth my respect. With me, and Conservatives like me, (unlike Liberals/Democrats) respect must be earned not simply given. Yes, there is a certain amount of respect I give to my “elders”, like if I were unfortunate enough to ever be in the same room and vicinity of her I would be cordial. But I hope people realize when they look at her actions and listen to her speak she does NOT represent women’s interests, Blacks interests, or children/family interests at all!

In closing I would like to say that while SOME might accept her half-assed “Twitter apology” (which in the 21st-Century I guess is okay? NOT!) I will NEVER forget what she has done and what she has said. So for me, apology NOT accepted.

I am sorry. Without reservation or qualification. I apologize to the Romney family. #MHPapology

I work by guiding principle that those who offend do not have the right to tell those they hurt that they r wrong for hurting. #MHPapology

Therefore, while I meant no offense, I want to immediately apologize to the Romney family for hurting them. #MHPapology

As black child born into large white Mormon family I feel familiarity w/ Romney family pic & never meant to suggest otherwise. #MHPapology

I apologize to all families built on loving transracial adoptions who feel I degraded their lives or choices. #MHPapology

It’s not sincere. It’s not honest. It sounds more like the pleas of a woman whose boss said, “apologize or you’re fired.” And if that is how MSNBC chooses to keep their hosts in-line, that’s their business. But I don’t have to like it, condone it, OR show my support by ever watching this channel again! She has every right to say whatever she wants just as I have every right never to have to hear anything she has to say!

That’s Freedom at work ladies and gentlemen!

Oh, and to all the “Liberal Trolls” who may find themselves reading this by some unforeseen accident, don’t worry, I’m a woman and I’m Black so I can call her a schmuck if I want!Case closed! Class dismissed!
*For 2014 there will be fancy banners for “Schmuck Nominees” and an even fancier “Schmuck Award” Winner Trophy! Oh this is going to be a GREAT year!
  • Can I be on the voting panel next year?

    • This was something I created kind of “on the spot” but next year I’ll be sure to allow others to vote on a (probably) long list of nominees that will get “progressively” smaller till a winner is named by New Years Eve! 😉

Who knows, I might even create a panel of judges? If so I’ll keep you in mind for sure!
